Geoffrey Keezer


GEOFFREY KEEZER (pianist, composer) was born November 20, 1970 in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Keezer who began playing piano at age 3, later attended the Berklee College of Music for one year, leaving to join Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. Geoffrey’s performing and recording work as a leader and sideman includes Christian McBride and Joshua Redman and piano duets with Chick Corea, Benny Green and Kenny Barron. Keezer’s career has encompassed a wide variety of projects and genres including his current groups, AUREA, a cross-cultural Afro-Peruvian group featuring some of Peru’s and New York’s best musicians.
